John Cunlifffe from the Bank of England
- I don’t want to anticipate a Nov Rate decision but for me, the economy has slowed this year
- Rates will need to rise over the next three years
- Rates will not need to go up as far or as fast as before the crisis
Dovish comments again from Cunliffe. Cable took a 20 pip drop to 1.3186. Last week he warned that he was not seeing any domestic price pressures. I think it’s safe to say which way he’s voting at the next MPC meeting 😉
