More year-end hedges roll off in the forex options expiries 20 December 2017

Today’s forex option expiries for the 10 am (15.00 GMT) New York cut 20 December 2017

There’s a few large clutches of options going off today, and some decent OTM expiries. USDCAD has a biggie at 1.30 (2.45bn), and there’s a big amount of EURGBP topside expiries that are all call options. I’ve listed them more for an idea of what was there rather than them having any effect in prices today. It’s a little insight into how option are spread across the market. These may have been hedges for year-end FX exposure, or perhaps Brexit plays. We don’t often know the reason but it shows what’s out there.
