Full year numbers from Germany
A good year for Germany who post the highest growth in over 5 years.
- Adjusted GDP 3.5% y/y
- Exports 5.2% vs 3.9% prior y/y
- Imports 4.7% vs 2.6% prior y/y
- Public sector budget surplus 1.2% of GDP vs 0.8% in 2016
Also out was comments from the German BDI saying that they see growth of around 2.25% in 2018, with export growth of 5%
Other data this morning;
- Spain industrial output Nov 2017 4.2% vs 3.1% exp adj y/y. Prior 4.1%. Revised to 4.4%
- Italy retail sales Nov 2017 1.1% vs -1.1% prior m/m SA
- 1.4% vs -2.1% prior y/y NSA. Revised to -2.3%
