US looks to be edging closer to a stop-gap deal
- Republican Senator thinks there’s enough votes to move forward on a stopgap vote
The US dollar has gained some on the “good” news. USDJPY has ticked into 111.00 and to a 111.10 high. I’ve emphasised the “thinks part of that comment for obvious reasons 😉
This news in Europe would be accompanied by a picture of a foot kicking a can. Google doesn’t have much for “stopgaps” 🙁
Update: Senator Joe Manchin leaves the Democrat meeting saying it all looks “very positive and that the government may re-open by 12.10-12.15 (US).
