eu : 1.1933-40 a good supply area and any attempt at breaking it will stop
at 1.1980 turnaround dreamers don’t dream ..getting back below 1.19
and down we go ..
i dont believe in usd weakness just yet and no it is not the time to have significant correction
gbp : 13480 -1.3460 a key area to the downside if broken we should welcome 1.33 but expecting it to hold
uj : break above 109.50 and we retest 110
Hello Harry.
I’m practically square going into today. I missed out on a lot of the action yesterday due to Intraweb wobbles . They are working on changing the exchange here – hope it’s better today.
USDJPY was a cracker with 2 short position from 110 and 109.70 …flat now and watching for more sell scalps on that one.
oh sorry you missed the action yesterday big H …yes uj best for scalping unless breaks either side …i sold heavily yesterday the pound was expecting the sell off squared 1.3470 waiting to see the reaction on this area i mentioned …my eu shorts as usual still as they are
“The Flow traders are available throughout the day to help out with your questions ”
are you sure about that dubs?
Our Greek office is always open :))
Hahahaha
Morning dodgy shirt bloke.
Short Dow 2 x smalls.
Long U/J from 109.05
Short U/C from 1.2975 and 1.2880
Short WTI from 71.00
Looking to jump back in on E/U shorts on any rallies today.
U/C could finish the week below 1.28 and that will be an outside reversal on the weekly. Pretty bearish.
Morning Carrots
Hi Hubsly xiansheng,Nihao. USD bull shows signs of exhaustion, especially today is Friday, the problem is my shorts of EURAUD and EURCAD are all at support now. Considering the unreliable boy friend couldn’t sink cable much lower yesterday, so buying EURUSD and GBPUSD would worth a try. Good hunting all.
Hen hao Chen xiansheng 😉
Morning traders.
Feeling a bit rough today after celebrating our crushing draw with Man Utd into the wee hours. We’ll till about 11 actually when the pub shut.
Trading wise, markets are looking a little jaded this morning. I’m holding the USDJPY long I took yesterday after CPI. I’ve got a feeling that one will be going in the slow cooker.
I’m going to look at having a nibble in EURGBP up against the 0.8840 area I mentioned in our trading room yesterday. That was last week’s high and we found resistance just ahead of it yesterday at 0.8835. It looks good for a tight scalp if things remain quiet.
GBPUSD is still in undecided mode for now. Another test and hold near the lows would add some confirmation of a bottom, temp or otherwise.
In EURUSD I’d look to play either side of the 1.1800/10-1.2000 range.
The CAD jobs report could give us some action but it can be very volatile and the picture in USDCAD needs to become clearer now we’re out of the 1.28/1.30 range.
Good luck to you all today.
Morning folks. late to it today via a power cut. Trying to catch up, so still long WTI`s. They are struggling with resistance and it may yet prove that I should have waited for a dip to the 68.65/75 area. Still long CADJPY from 84.2263 and 85.630 from yesterday. That one is a shade delinquent and needs to bust the move. See how it goes today.
Looking for a temporary bottom to be carved out in Cable and Guppy. Any ideas?
Yep, I’m with you, Si. I have a limit buy CADJPY at 85.5. Already bought small Cable and will add if yesterday low is retested later before US session.
Good luck Chen. I like CDJPY in particular and over recent times, the Flow boys have cleaned up on it well. I am now short Cable 1.3529 to see if it can carve out a run-into-weekend temporary bottom around 1.3460/70 area. Cable struggling with this area right now.
Thanks, Si. Indeed Cable is boxed between 100HMA and 1.35. Good luck to you too.
You just made some there Chen. Good stuff. Customs Union. See if sellers can force the issue
Good morning,
-Still a bit short EURUSD , jobbing the 1.1930/40 and 00 where a big option expiry could lend support or attract at 2PM gmt.
Draghi is up at 1.15gmt at 8th edition of The State of the Union organised by EUI in Florence, Italy. Not sure what Silver Tongue has to say but it may be the only meat on the bone today. The rest will be curves and sticks watching.
-Short EURNOK , going smoothly
-Small USDJPY long for now, will job it around 108.90-109.80( don’t think we get that much even) or trade some crosses. EURJPY is finding supply in the 130.55/65 zone, nice little level to lean against.
-Sold a (f)risky EURCAD @ 1.5210. Depending on where it trades into the employment report, I may manage it a bit but last night’s official comments hint at a Nafta deal. I reckon this and Middle Eastern oil will overshadow the labour report if no big deviation from expectations. I’m watching the especially the shifts between part- and full time jobs in the report.
TGIF , stay safe and happy hunting
That was a good start to the day. Stopped in a Cable short looking to carve out a bottom. Customs Union, the ballsy Mrs May. That could be quite bullish here so well done anyone long Betty. See if sellers have the mettle to resist this. Any idea of a Customs Union was always going to at least help GBP. See if it trumps yesterday`s BoE.
Over to the sellers.
yup i went short around the same price. cable will be choppy in this area but if you look at the crosses they aren’t getting excited. maybe it is some dollar selling helping cable jump almost 96 pips from yesterday’s low
It`s all about the Customs Union news N. I switched long 35437, stop 3530. Brexit is approaching a sort of end game here. Customs Union is markets friendly and Mrs May is forcing the issue. GBP gets bought for now. We have said consistently on here that this period in negotiations was always going to be the most difficult phase to trade. Welcome to a whippy ride.
