as per expected the range held yesterday 1.15-1.1630 euro and we end it up with a boring day … so i remain on the same analysis from yesterday
Gives us more time to enjoy kebabs Harry 🙂
my invitation still open for you all when i come to uk .. hope all is fine with you big H and you can make it to uk
Could be difficult this year as I have an Asia countries tour planned . Never say never, one fine day my friend .
Looking to short AUDCAD at 0.983, stop above 0.984. Have a good hunting day all.
We could have a bearish right shoulder forming on that when viewed on the H4 Chen xiansheng
Yep, big H! Very thick resistance from here all the way up to there around 0.984, I’m starting building the shorts now.
USDCAD on the verge of tipping over — Short @1.332 sl:1.335
Yeah. I’m watching that closely along with at least half the traders in the world ?
That will be a corker when the rug is finally pulled ‘eh Jimbo .
The summer doldrums are here if yesterday’s price action was anything to go by.
Time to dust the scalping cap off and go for small intraday trades and place any bigger views I may have firmly on the back burner . There are a few exceptions, yet it becomes very frustrating when you get your hopes up on a medium term trade just for price to slowly meander its way back towards your entry .
Some reasonable scalping in the Asia session today. I made my mind up to take +10’s and keep focused on taking
small pips and trade what I see without getting my hopes up and becoming greedy or fixated with the directional bias.
Cable was the star for me going into today. After taking the second half of my short trade off the table in the US session, I re-entered at 1.3188 . My EURJPY short had a very uneventful day, sticking with that for now.
I opened a short GBPJPY a few hours ago at 145.56 and decided to let 1/2 roll for now as the GBP started today on the backfoot .
Have a super day,,,, If we dont expect too much , we are open to being pleasantly surprised 😉
I’m out of everything GBP — Things have turned bullish over the last hour . I will be sniffing out the long side if we hold here on cable .
Good morning all,
Been running around in circles yesterday. I’m rage trading with a bid bias for the USD intact. Japanese started to buy for bds again last week, Japan halts a few military exercises related to missile attacks(risky imo). China judges it necessary to inject liquidity, at the same time raising USDCNY fixing.
Still not clear about possible tariff exemptions, risk may be smalls bid on dips too unless doors get shut again.
Waiting for BOE with a sell the 1.2110/30 rally in cable if seen.
I’m looking to trade 110.30-111 USDJPY, EURUSD 1.15-1.16, 0.7330-0.7390 AUDUSD
Stay safe , happy hunting
I forgot to add, still short USDMXN, for the tequila and taco lovers we have Mexico CB rate decision tonight at 18:00 gmt. Expectations are for 25 bps rise, some say 50 or even 75 bps at the extreme but I would go for the milder change, thinking Banco de Mexico will err on the prudent side ahead of the elections 1st July
So, if only 25 bps, can we expect the rate to go up to offer better entry point to short…?
HI Prutar, I would have yes this morning 😉 but since the USD is already under pressure, to me 25bps should be neutral in the global scheme of things. 20.50/55 should now offer decent resistance
Hi Guys, I am still watching Cable closely and my view is that it is going to float around the range 13050 to 13300. It will move on a political statement re Brexit or fall into line on the coattails of the dollar. Over night I was short, I am now long. Intraday trading is the only way I will play it. My bias is short long term but it is not at a level where I would commit to that statement. Have a great day and best of luck.
Morning all
I woke up to more muddy markets. We did nothing yesterday and now cable’s off nearly 100 pips. Trade tensions still abound so the usual risk off is at work but not to much in the yen it seems.
Anyway. BOE day today and the market will be looking for clue about the next rate hike. I’ll have apreview up soon.
On the trading front. I’ve got nothing on bar the small USDMXN short in the slow cooker. I like the break under 20.50 and it will be nice to see that hold. There’s still lots that can happen in that pair so although it’s off the highs, it can go back there very quickly on election and trade news. We also have the Mex CB mon pol meeting today so could get some fireworks there.
As for the rest, I’ll still be looking at playing a long in front of 1.1500 in EURUSD and might have a scalp at 111.00 in USDJPY, although if we see a run there it will be the third time this month which would raise the chances of a break. I’ll play all those by ear.
Good luck all.
Morning again my chasing senses are going crazy with these pushes lower in EUR and GBP but i am resisting them so far.
Yesterday, well overnight the day before my NZDUSD sell at 0.6920 never triggered (i was sleeping sadly got to 0.6916 *sighs* never mind) any way on the move lower yesterday morning i halved my first entry size from 0.6920 and sold the lows planning to add the rest if we headed back higher but we didn’t and i spent the day taking bits out on the move down before closing before GDP last night which turned out ok shame there was less size on it though. still a sell NZD for now looking for 0.6880/90.
In terms of the EUR i feel there maybe stops below 1.15 given the option there so would sell a stop on the break around 1.1495/90. and depending on the BOE i will most likely look for a rally to sell in GBP around 1.3180, if we get back there, 1.3155 is a minor level i have marked now also.
As always have a good day all!
Have a good one too Jack.
Morning folks. After my trade update last night, I took chunks long Guppy and CADYEN`s. Nice chunk combined before the swaps came in.
I made the big mistake of not setting a TP on a GBPND long. It racked up a very nice chunk and then stopped me out an hour ago, so a chunk of stop monet to get back there.
Still alive WTI`s long but expect more so now that the stop 61.75 will blow on OPEC.
Skin of teeth stuff on DXY futs short with the stop 95.25 in danger. High printed 95.22 earlier on, so that should go as well now. I`ll be back on those after my holiday.
All square into today`s events and in no hurry
As always, happy hunting and the very best of luck folks. Good to see people making money.
