It’s missed expectations in PCE and dropped a point on the core. That’s seen the buck lower as expected. USDJPY down to 112.28 from 112.60.
We’ve also had some data out of Canada;
- July 2017 GDP 0.0% vs 0.1% exp m/m. Prior 0.3%
- 3.8% vs 3.9% exp y/y. Prior 4.3%. Revised to 4.4%
- August 2017 PPI 0.3% vs 0.5% exp m/m. Prior -1.5%. Revised to -1.6%
- 1.9% vs 1.3% prior y/y
- Raw material prices 1.0% vs 0.3% exp m/m. Prior -0.6%. Revised to -0.9%
- 6.1% vs 4.5% prior y/y. Revised to 4.2%
The worse GDP has seen CAD sell off to 1.2475 against the USD.
