Here are the forex option expiries for the 10 am (14.00 GMT) New York cut 26 October 2017
Ordinarily I wouldn’t report the options that are far away from current prices but due to it being ECB day, and a possibly big event, I’ve noted all the major EURUSD expiries in a wider range. What’s notable on the EURUSD board today is that everything from 1.1950 up are call options (usually, most of the numbers I report are mixed calls and puts). This shows that there is either significant betting on, or possibly short hedging of, a hawkish ECB or, option sellers are expecting a dovish ECB and they’re banking on receiving a lot of premium. Again, significantly, there’s not an awful lot of action sub 1.1600, it’s all higher up.
