Fed’s Harker: Two hikes appropriate for 2018

  • Sees Us growth a little under 2.5% in 2018
  • There’s very little slack left in the economy
  • Is expecting a small rise in unemployment rate this year
  • Sees inflation running a little over 2.0% in 2019, falling back in 2020

Harker is off the voting board this year.
