April 2018 US PPI final demand data 9 May 2018
- Prior 0.3%
- 2.6% vs 2.8% exp y/y. Prior 3.0%
- Ex-food/energy 0.2% vs 0.2% exp m/m. Prior 0.3%
- 2.3% vs 2.4% exp y/y. Prior 2.7%
- Ex-food/energy/trade 0.1% vs 0.4% prior m/m
- 3.1% vs 2.9% prior y/y
Soft all round save for the ex-all y/y. On the face of it it looks soft for the inflation picture but PPI can be a bit more volatile. The buck is a fraction softer in USDJPY but not doing much at all.
