Barriers line up in USDJPY – Forex options expiries 18 May 2018

Forex options expiring at the 10am (14.00 GMT) New York cut 18 May 2018

As we suspected all week, it’s being reported that there’s a barrier at 111.00. The question is whether it’s still there. The BBG high is 111.01 and the Reuters high is 111.00. Either way, we’ve seen hefty resistance at the big figure so it’s all part of the pie. There’s stops sitting just above the big fig. Further barriers are in play at 111.50 & 112.00 but the topside is still devoid of any vanilla expiries.
