Here’s a snapshot of the main events due this week
The data flow tends to be fairly quiet in the week after NFP, and such is the case this week. There’s not a lot of big data until US retail sales and CPI on Friday. JOLTS is on Wednesday but isn’t usually a market mover, and it lags the jobs report by a month. The FOMC minutes are also Wednesday but coming after an FOMC with a presser, it’s unlikely to offer us anything we didn’t already know, save for updated views from the members. All times on this calendar are BST.
On the jawbone front, we have the following speakers noted so far (all times GMT);
Mon 9th
- Draghi and Coeure at the Eurogroup meeting (not speaking publicly as such)
- 16.00 ECB’s Lautenschlager
Tue 10th

Fri 13th (unlucky for some)
