- Parties underline willingness to strengthen Eurozone and shield Europe from crises
- Parties still at odds on creating fiscal capacity to buffer the Eurozone against external shocks
- Opposition to creating instruments that would lead to automatic transfers or debt mutualisation in Europe have been voiced
The comments come from a coalition document on Europe. Merkel is hoping to have made progress by the end of the week. At the moment, they’re bumping heads on migration, Europe, transport and the climate. It’s another risk the euro is ignoring but it could play a part into the weekend.
