EU’s Jean-Claude Juncker has his calculator out
- EU’s Junkcer has said that the EU needs to find a way to deal in the next long-term budget after the loss of Britain as amajor net contributor
- EU budget has to be bigger than 1% of EU GDP as it is now, if it is to fund all policies
- UK’s exit will leave EU budget short by 12-13bn annually
And we all know what that means? He’s basically tipping the nod to all the other EU countries that budgets are going up. That should go down well. Maybe they can discuss it in parliament in Brussels, or perhaps when they have 4 days of parliamentary sessions in Strasbourg once a month, at a cost of €150m each time 😉
