Cryptocurrencies plunge as South Korea keeps ban threats alive
More fun and games in your favourite made-out-of-nothing asset.
Soth Korea’s YOnhap news agency reported that Finance minister Dong-yeon had told a local radio station that the government would be putting together a set of measures to clamp down on the “irrational” cryptocurrency craze, including banning all crypto exchanges. The news obviously went down well in the crypto-world.
- BTC (coinbase) falls 18%
- BTC futures -18%
- Ripple -33%
- Ethereum – 23%
All good fun if you’re short.
