- Ex-fuel -0.6% vs -0.3% exp m/m. Prior 1.3%. Revised to 1.4%
- 3.0% vs 3.5% exp y/y. Prior 4.4%. Revised to 4.5%
Soft numbers which might be surprising with the hot weather and World cup but we may still see that come into the July numbers as England progressed. ONS note that Q2 sales were the strongest since 200 at 2.8% y/y vs 1.55 y/y in Q1. GBPUSD has cracked the barrier at 1.30 to a low of 1.2983.

- 3M-to-Jun saw quantity bought rise 2.1%, largest increase since Feb 2015
- Food stores saw strongest 3M-on-3M growth since May 2001 at 2.2%
- In both volume and value terms growth was seen in across all sectors
- Online sales held steady at 18%, online spending in clothing & footwear hit record again
