- 3.3% vs 2.3% exp y/y. Prior 3.5%. Revised to 3.8%
- Ex-fuel 0.3% vs -0.2% exp m/m. Prior 0.9%. Revised to 1.1%
- 3.5% vs 2.5% exp y/y. Prior 3.7%. Revised to 4.0%
Much better than expected. Good revisions too. Cable only manages a small jump to 1.3205 before falling back to 1.3196
Notes
– 3M-to-Aug sales grew 2.0% vs previous 3M, continued growth seen in all sectors
– Food & Household Goods stores did well compared to last summer
– Online spending saw new record or proportion of total sales; up 18.2%
– Sales contributed 0.11% to Q2 GDP
– Predominantly food stores fell 0.6% on the month, after strong July
