- National HPI 6.00% vs 6.24% prior y/y
FHFA HPI also out
- HPI 0.2% vs 0.2% prior m/m. Revised to 0.3%
- 6.4% vs 6.5% prior y/y
A softening of house prices could further show the bite from rate hikes. It keeps the Fed happy that property prices aren’t running away but on the otherside, neither will they want to see a collapse.
