September 2018 US consumer confidence 25 September 2018
- Prior 133.4. Revised to 134.7
- Current conditions 173.1 vs 172.2 prior. Revised to 172.8
- Expectations 115.3 vs 107.6 prior. Revised to 109.3
- Jobs hard to get 13.2 vs 12.7 prior. Revised to 12.1
- 1yr inflation expectations 4.7% vs 4.8% prior
A massive beat in confidence and all the components except inflation. Good revisions too. The inflation gauge is what the Fed will look at among the others. USD is doing nothing though. That was the highest headline since Sep 2000 (last month was the highest since Oct 2000 so it beat it by a month).
