- Core Common 1.9% vs 1.9% exp y/y. Prior 1.9%
- Core med 2.0% vs 2.0% prior. Revised to 1.9%
- Core trim 2.1% vs 2.1% prior. Revised to 2.0%
- BOC core 1.6% vs 1.5% prior y/y
- 0.4% vs 0.0% prior m/m
Retail sales (Sep)
- 0.2% vs 0.1% exp m/m. Prior -0.1%
- Ex-autos 0.1% vs 0.3% exp m/m. Prior -0.4%
Better data all round but nothing really to shout about. CPI is the news here as it keeps the BOC on the hawkish side of the street. USDCAD dropped to 1.3185 on the kneejerk but is back at 1.3238.
