October 2018 US new home sales 28 November 2018
- New home sales 0.544m vs 0.575m exp, Prior 0.553m
- Single family sales -8.9% vs -5.5% prior. Revised to 1.0%
- Supply 7.4 months vs 6.5 months prior
- Median prices $309,700 vs $319,500 Oct 2017 and $320,000 in Sep
Negative numbers here. Sales down is one thing but supply rising suggests a lack of appetite. Prices down on a year ago and a chunk on last month too. It’s looking increasingly dodgy in the housing sector.
