Mexico June 2018 1st half month(YES) CPI data on 22.06.2018

  • 1st half month core CPI 0.08 % vs 0.15% exp, prior 0.13%
  • CPi YoY  4.54% vs 4.57% exp. Prior 4.55%
  • Also out April Economic Activity MoM -0.6vs 0.3% prior
  • EA YoY 4.5 % vs 4.2% exp, prior -0.8%

Fast on the ball these Mexicans with their numbers. Got to like it. USDMXN been coming off all day from 20.33 to 20.17 going into the data.
Pretty stable first reaction .
I will be looking to trim some of my shorts into the 20.00-03 area, in the hope to be able to re-sell that bit close to or over 20.50 as nervousness over the elections creps in next week.
