– Real total pay rose 0.1% annually, ex-bonus by 0.4% (CPI measure)
– Earnings have grown faster than prices for several months – ONS
– Inactivity rate (0.3%) largest since 3M-to-Jul 14; larger in 3M-to-Jan 92 (0.4%)
– Vacancies were up 14K on quarter to 833K; record high
– Only small impact from NHS nurses pay rise on wage data

Strong wages data will be welcome by the BOE and that’s helped lift cable back to the highs around 1.3080.
