October 2018 US consumer confidence report 30 October 2018
- Prior 138.4. Revised to 135.3
- Current conditions 172.8 vs 173.1 prior. Revised to 169.4
- Expectations 114.6 vs 115.3 prior, Revised to 112.5
- Jobs hard to get 13.2 vs 13.2 prior. Revised to 14.1
- 1yr inflation expectations 4.8% vs 4.7% prior
Still very solid numbers, even with lower components and revisions. If that continues into retail sales then the Fed won’t worry about carrying on raising rates. Little change in FX markets though USDJPY 112.85 and doing nothing.
