- PPI input YoY 9.2% vs 7.6% exp, prior 5.3%, revised to 5.6%
- PPI output MoM 0.4% vs 0.3% exp, prior 0.3%, revised to 0.4%
- PPI output YoY 2.9% vs 2.9% exp, prior 2.7%, revised to 2.5%
- PPI core output YoY 2.1% vs 2.5% exp, prior 2.4%, revised to 2.0%
- PPI core output MoM 0.2% vs 0.2% exp, prior 0.1%, revised to 0.2%
Pressure on producing prices. Could be an extra pain for the consumer if that gets passed on. Remains to be confirmed on the next month’s set of data (?)
Not a reason to buy £ imo.

UK May CPI & PPI readings, yoy delta PPI (PPI input-PPI output) is 6.3 % (!!!).
Thats rather insane !
Shows that producers know the stretch is completely out of spending budgets !
Massive erosion of margins (like for 2017).
